Meet the New ZTE Iceberg to Feature two Notches and Transparent Casing

Not everyone is comfortable with cutout on their display, but ZTE is convinced that the few people who love it will absolutely fancy have two notches. The Chinese company is prepping a new smartphone, dubbed ZTE Iceberg, and renders of its concept model shows that the dual-notched phone features a notch at the top and the bottom of the display.

When held in portrait mode, the notch on top hosts the front-facing selfie camera, the earpiece and other sensors for distance and light. While the bottom notch on ZTE Iceberg carries only a second speaker to that produces quality stereo sound. As you can see from the image above, the edges of the handset has transparent case and it is a bit more squared off instead of the usual rounded corners we see.

Also, the render reveals that ZTE Iceberg will sport a dual rear camera setup, and a fingerprint scanner mounted at the back as well. Below the ZTE logo, some pin connectors are visible, which could be used for a variety of reasons, possibly for attaching modular accessories and so on.

The concept is excellent, but we shoudn't expect the Iceberg to be made launched anytime soon because there's a lot of works here. Unless the company will drop some features and design, then it'll likely be released sooner than latter.

MMM Shuts Down Totally After The Death of CEO, See detail

MMM is one of the biggest eye-openers that happened to millions of people in so many countries. Up to 10 million people lost thier life savings on that platform in what Wikipedia branded as the world's largest Ponzi schemes of all time, in the 1990s.
MMM Shuts Down Completely; Read What the Management has to say

Late last month, news of MMM founder Sergey Mavrodi’s death circulated round the internet (he died on on March 26, 2018), stirring mixed reactions from users who enjoyed it when the platform first launched and thr late comers who had a bitter experience with Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox. The system was earlier put on hold to honor his exist, but it appears that MMM will never exit that pause mode.

Now, the website MMMoffice.com no longer load and their social media pages has been deleted, as the management plans to make everything about MMM disappear into the air. In a statement posted on its global website on Friday, April 6, 2018, the Ponzi scheme platform said the continuation of the System operation without Sergey Mavrodi, the ideological inspirer is “impossible and makes no sense.”

“After much deliberation, we have made the conclusion that continuing the System operation, without our leader and ideological inspirer, is impossible and makes no sense. We all carried out the tasks he assigned to us since we had no doubt in his genius and rightness of the path he had chosen.

We are firmly aware of the fact that none of us has a full view of his conception’s profoundness and sequence of all the actions to achieve a final goal, declared in the “MMM’s Ideology. Sergey Mavrodi’s broad-mindedness scale is unprecedented.

Therefore any attempts to continue the System operation without him are bound to fail. We respect him immeasurably and cannot afford to allow that our unskilled actions may cause profanation of his concepts.

In view of the above, with deep sadness, we have to announce the ultimate and irreversible MMM closure.”

In summary, this simply mean that MMM has finally shut down operations in all countries forever. This is more like a good news to me, what about you?

See How Instagram Copies Snapchat Again With Their New Nametag Feature

Right from inception, Instagram has been well-known for doling out new features, but most of them are cloned from their rival—Snapchat. The biggest shock came in August, when Instagram copied Snapchat's iconic "Story" format, and it didn't even end there. Now, the popular photo/video sharing platform is working on a feature called Nametags which is very similar to Snapchat's Snapcode that was introduced back in January 2015.

Nametags allows an Instagram user to create a custom tag using a pattern of emoji, an AR based selfie or a simple page with various color options. Once the facebook-owned company releases this feature, users will be able to create a tag by pressing the Nametags button in their profile.

With it, you'll also be able to add someone to follow by simply scanning that person's Nametag using the Instagram camera. So, no need to cram and type usernames, and no request is necessary. Instagram subscribers should find it easier to build an audience with Nametags.

Watch the 22 seconds video above to see how Instagram nametag works. The feature is still under tests, and there have been no word as to when it'll roll out globally.

How To Find Out Whether Your Data Was Used by Cambridge Analytica, See details

Last month, Facebook was trapped in a data scandal which saw millions of users Facebook profiles collected without their permission by a consulting firm called Cambridge Analytica. A Russian-American researcher was the first to get the users' data and he wasn't supposed to share it with anyone. Facebook signed a 2011 consent decree that prevented the company from using personal data without getting permission from its owner. But it seems the popular social network has now breached this agreement, and as a result, they've been under fire since then.

Here's how to find out if your Facebook profile was used by Cambridge Analytica

A lot of individuals and firms have deleted the app, even former Facebook employee and WhatsApp Co-Founder, Brian Acton urged people to delete facebook. Co-founder and FB CEO Mark Zuckerberg will testify in front of both the Senate and the House starting tomorrow, and a 24 hour boycott of Facebook and its associated apps will start Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, Facebook has been rolling out multiple changes and improvements to prevent the re-occurence of something like this. In addition, the company will alert users if their personal data was among the 87 million profiles (if not more than that) used by Cambridge Analytica. To check if your account is among the number, simply look out for a notification at the top of your Facebook newsfeed beginning from today.

Was Your Facebook Data Used by Cambridge Analytica? Find out here

If you see a notice similar to the image at right (above) which reads “Facebook has banned a site called "This Is Your Digital Life" because it improperly shared your Facebook info with Cambridge Analytica,”then your was among those obtained by Cambridge Associates. You can tap on a link that will show you how you're affected. While other Facebook users whose data weren't collected will see a notification like the one at the left side, showing new feature that will allow them to control which apps have access to their personal data.

To cap it off, Facebook also banned other data firms like CubeYou and AggregateIQ for misusing data they received from personality quizzes. The latter is currently under investigation by the Canadian government.

Doogee Mix 4 Will Feature a Slider That Hides its Ugliness

In recent times, so many smartphone manufacturers have started adopting the latest design trend, which is the notch. The truth is that a lot of users are not comfortable with this cutout on the display, and so they try to hide it natively (if provided) or by using third-party apps like Nacho Notch. Well, Doogee, a fairly-known brand is here with something entirely amazing; the company has launched a bezel-less and notch-less device, dubbed Doogee Mix 4, which features a slider that hides the selfie camera and other sensors in front.

doogee mix 4 slider

Taking a look at the concept video released by a youtuber called Arun Maini (Mrwhosetheboss channel), the Doogee Mix 4 initially has a hefty bezel on top, but when the nifty slider is raised up, the phone turns to a beautiful bezel-less one, covering the front camera and, unfortunately, the light sensor and speaker. However, this design is brilliant because it has ridiculed the need for a notch and fat bezel.

Also, Doogee has proven to be smarter than Apple - who tried to hide the notch in iPhone X, but was unsuccessful. While other Android smartphone manufacturers are still working on how to natively blend the cutout (like OnePlus and Huawei), their method involves painting the status bar at the top so it will blend with the bezel's protrusion.

The Doogee Mix 4 sports a large 5.99-inch display with an impressive screen-to-body of about 97 percent, thanks to the tiny bezel that surrounds the screen. In the photo (below), we can see a fingerprint icon on the screen which hints that the company will make use of an in-display fingerprint scanner - remeber, the only phone that has this feature as of the time of this writing is Vivo X20 Plus UD.

Doogee’s Mix 4 phone features a nifty slider that hides the front camera

The phone's thickness measures at 11mm because of it's dual-layer design which makes a soft sound when slid up or down to hide/reveal the camera. At the back, there is a primary dual-camera setup, and as reported by Maini, Doogee Mix 4 will be powered by a Snapdragon processor and will be available for purchase in December, following the 6 months launch interval each Doogee Mix model have between each other.
